Well Dealt, in one line

We compare credit cards and do the math on the numbers you enter. No card on this site pays us today. If that ever changes, the card’s own page will say so. Rankings are pure math, never sold.

Well Dealt is built to know as little about you as possible. This page says exactly what we collect and what we do with it.

What you type stays yours

There are no accounts and no sign-ups. The spending numbers you enter are used to run the math and travel only in the address of your results page (so you can share or revisit it). We do not save them in any database unless you ask us to email your results — the one exception, spelled out below. We do not connect them to your identity, and we never sell or share them.

No tracking cookies

Well Dealt runs no advertising trackers and sets no cookie that follows you anywhere. There is exactly one cookie, and only if you arrived through a partner link (an address starting with /r/ or /p/): it stores that partner’s name for 30 days, so that if you later ask us to email your results we can credit whoever sent you. It holds nothing about you and nothing you typed, and it is read in that one place and nowhere else. We use our host’s privacy-friendly analytics (Vercel), which counts page visits without cookies and without following you across the web. Our host also keeps standard server logs (IP address, pages requested, browser type), used only to keep the site running and secure.

If you give us your email

The one exception to “we store nothing”: if you ask us to email your results, we store your address, the door you chose, and the link to your results page (which contains the spending numbers you entered). That is what lets us send you what you asked for. We never sell or share it, and every email we send includes an unsubscribe link that removes it for good.

If you apply for a card

Card applications happen on the issuer’s website, not ours. We never see or handle your application, your Social Security number, or anything you submit to an issuer. Once you leave Well Dealt, the issuer’s privacy policy governs.

Your choices

  • Global Privacy Control: we honor GPC signals by default. There is nothing to opt out of, because we do not sell or share personal information.
  • Clearing your data: since your numbers live only in the page address, closing the tab or clearing your history removes them from your device. Clearing cookies for this site removes the partner marker described above.

Contact

Privacy questions, or a request to delete a stored email address: write to eli@welldealt.com and we will handle it promptly.

Children

Well Dealt is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If our practices ever change, we will update this page and the date above before the change takes effect.
